Job Description

Our established Rutland, VT client is seeking an Accountant for their team. You’ll perform routine, day-to-day accounting activities in a casual, yet professional environment. If you have some general accounting experience and a sense of humor, then this could be a great fit!
Responsibilities of the Accountant

  • Balance ledgers and prepare reports
  • Help manage and maintain general ledger
  • Assist with cash management activities (collections and disbursements)
  • Manage inter-company account
  • Prepare manual checks and weekly check runs
  • Assist with month-end and year-end G/L closing activities
  • Perform monthly analysis and recommendations for balance sheet adjustments
  • Assist with audits, other general office duties, and special projects as assigned

Qualifications of the Accountant

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • 0-2 years of general accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems, MS Word, and Excel spreadsheets
  • NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Excellent time and workload management skills
  • Energetic team player with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
