Amber has been a member of the Leddy Group team since December of 2016 when Leddy Group acquired Staff Hunters of Portsmouth. From 2006 – 2016 she was the Branch Manager for Staff Hunters of Portsmouth. Prior to moving to the east coast, Amber worked for two large, national, staffing firms. Her 20 years of industry experience includes roles as Recruiter, Sr. Staffing Manager, Branch Manager, and now, Regional Director.

A Portsmouth, NH employer is looking for a skilled Accounting Manager for a full-time, direct hire position! In this role, you will oversee A/P, A/R, and inventory activities while performing month-end and year-end closings and reporting functions, among other duties. The ideal candidate has solid accounting experience, a proven track record of supervising an accounting team, and a bachelor’s in finance, accounting, or a similar field of study! Public accounting experience is a major plus!

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager

  • Oversee A/P, A/R, and inventory functions
  • Perform month-end closings
  • Provide regular reporting to management
  • Oversee and analyze budget management
  • Perform fixed asset accounting and depreciation
  • Assist outside vendor with annual audit
  • Perform other related tasks and projects, as required

Qualifications of the Accounting Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 3-5 years (or more) of accounting experience required (public accounting experience is a major plus!)
  • Proven track record of supervising an accounting team
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Prior experience with month-end and year-end closings
  • Good communication skills
  • Prior experience with ERP systems
