Accounts Payable Accountant

Join a rapidly growing Seacoast company as an Accounts Payable Accountant! This opportunity is responsible for executing the AP accounting processes for the company’s US entities. Strong prior accounts payable experience is required!

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Accountant

  • Prepare and accurately process high volume full-cycle accounts payable
  • Receive, analyze, and code vendor invoices
  • Accurately resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Monitor monthly aging reports to ensure invoices are paid in accordance with terms
  • Prepare weekly payment run for review
  • Assist in month-end closing process
  • Complete monthly adjusting journal entries
  • Perform other duties, as requested

Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Accountant

  • Associates degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of A/P experience in a corporate environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Stellar organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Solid experience with preparation of month-end accruals
  • Ability to research and resolve problems
  • Capable of working in a high volume, high expectation department
  • Experience with SAP ECC or similar a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
