From 2006 – 2016 she was the Branch Manager for Staff Hunters of Portsmouth. Prior to moving to the east coast, Amber worked for two large, national, staffing firms. Her 20 years of industry experience includes roles as Recruiter, Sr. Staffing Manager, Branch Manager, and now, Regional Director.

A fast-paced, growing manufacturer in Southern Maine is seeking a talented Assistant Plant Controller for their team! This full-time, direct hire role is more focused on strategy, planning, and analysis than the day-to-day accounting functions, although strong knowledge of GAAP and relevant manufacturing accounting experience is required.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Plant Controller

  • Perform monthly closings
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports
  • Compare forecasts against actual results and report on variances
  • Assist in developing and overseeing budgets
  • Monitor costs and look for areas of improvement
  • Perform other related tasks and projects, as required

Qualifications of the Assistant Plant Controller

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field of study
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within manufacturing
  • Ability to analyze data and report on findings
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently within a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
