Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist

Our service-based client in Haverhill, MA is looking for a skilled Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist for their team! In this full-time, direct-hire role, you will be responsible for processing AP/AR, maintaining customer and vendor records, and more. The ideal candidate has at least two years of related accounting experience; a bachelor’s in accounting and a background in a service-related business are a plus.

Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist

• Prepare and send invoices to customers
• Follow up on aging receivables
• Review, record, and pay record incoming invoices
• Assist vendors and customers with accounting related questions
• Ensure all subcontractor paperwork and information is up to date
• Perform other tasks and projects, as required

Qualifications of the Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist

• 2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Experience in service-based industry highly preferred
• Bachelor’s in accounting or finance a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
