Montana joined our team as an intern in a Junior Staffing Coordinator role during her winter 2020 college break. She returned to our team during the summer of 2020, and when she returned to school, worked remotely during her final semester. She officially joined Leddy Group’s Industrial & Skilled Manufacturing division as a Team Support Specialist after earning her bachelor’s degree from Franklin Pierce.

Our client is now hiring for their Class 3 Tradesperson role on night shift at their Newington, NH facility. You’ll complete tasks associated with the manufacture and handling of cable and related equipment used in undersea networks. This direct hire role is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door of a unique industry and grow your career!

Responsibilities of the Cable Turner – Entry Level

  • Handle and load cable using associated equipment
  • Inspect product and report issues to appropriate personnel
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Adhere to all safety and quality standards
  • Respond to multiple production assignments in a timely and efficient manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned and as workflow dictates

Qualifications of the Cable Turner – Entry Level

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training preferred
  • Sound judgment and good decision-making skills
  • Able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions in English and use measuring equipment like tape measures, calipers, verniers, and micrometers
  • Flexible to adapt to changing priorities and multitask as needed
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team

Hours for this full-time position are 7:00pm-7:00am, Monday through Friday; the company also offers different versions of the schedule to include Saturdays and Sundays if that works best for you. Pay is $20.35/hour ($18.50/hour base pay plus 10% differential). You’ll be eligible for a profit-sharing bonus of 4% of base pay as well.
