A global manufacturer is seeking a CNC Manufacturing Engineer to join the team at their Rochester, NH facility. This is an excellent direct hire role at a company that encourages both personal and career growth for employees!

Responsibilities of the CNC Manufacturing Engineer

  • Interact with customers and company staff during product design to ensure products meet customer and company design and manufacturability goals
  • Translate design requirements and specifications into 3D models using SolidWorks
  • Develop CNC programs for lathe and milling operations using SolidWorks models and Mastercam
  • Analyze drawings, computer models, and design data to calculate part dimensions for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, feed rates, and efficient tool path development
  • Occasionally set up and operate CNC equipment to prove out programs and machining concepts
  • Troubleshoot CNC machines and make mechanical/program adjustments as needed
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate responses to customer complaints with the manufacturing team and quality department
  • Adhere to company safety and quality requirements
  • Perform related duties as assigned or required

Qualifications of the CNC Manufacturing Engineer

  • Experience with composite materials/plastics a plus
  • SolidWorks 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks Mill package a plus)
  • Mastercam/SolidWorks interface (3D, 4th & 5th axis capability a plus)
  • Background in fixtures design is a plus
  • Familiar with a variety of manufacturing process analyses and development
  • Familiar with the use of micrometers, snap gauges, or other tools for dimensional evaluation
  • Knowledge of assembly, machining, quality control, and safety
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with a focus on Excel
