Dealer Support Specialist

In this role, you’ll be partnered with a mentor who will help you develop expertise to support the entire order management process of this company’s innovative products through their dealer network. Responsibilities of the Dealer Support Specialist

  • Build product quotations
  • Process purchase orders for order entry
  • Offer consultative sales support (product positioning, specification review, value engineering)
  • Act as point of contact for post-sale communication to dealers as well as other departments across the enterprise that process or provide support for dealer orders
  • Provide assistance regarding post-sale needs pertaining to technical inquiries, change orders, milestone information, installation troubleshooting, guaranteed repairs, back charges, or returned goods authorizations
  • Research, investigate, and negotiate, if necessary, any back charge requests from dealers
  • Must be able to accommodate spikes in work volume and adjust working schedule accordingly, which will include working over 40 hours during busy season or other times of year

Qualifications of the Dealer Support Specialist

  • 2 or 4-year technical degree, 1-2 years of equivalent work experience, or a combination of experience and education
  • Knowledge of drafting principles, design techniques, blueprint reading, and AutoCAD a plus
  • Ability to work closely and collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • Ability to be self-directed and organize/prioritize work
  • Project management skills and understanding of construction projects
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and excellent follow-up skills
  • Strong personal commitment to meeting customer requirements
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Computer skills including IFS, Word, Excel, Outlook, Concept
  • Flexible to priority changes and work hours needed to meet customer requirements
