Electrician for Manufacturing Plant

A manufacturing plant in Portsmouth, NH is now hiring an Electrician to join their team. The ideal candidate has industrial electrician experience, is a team player, and is committed to quality and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with a sign on bonus of $1,500!

Responsibilities of the Electrician for Manufacturing Plant

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronics and mechanical systems
  • Use hand tools, analog and digital multimeters, ammeters, amp probes, etc.
  • Work from manuals and print schematics
  • Comply with all OSHA and company safety and electrical regulations, including Lock Out/Tag Out and Arc Flash protection

Qualifications of the Electrician for Manufacturing Plant

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Some formal electrical/instrumentation education is preferred
  • Strong electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical skills
  • Experience with AC/DC control circuitry, proximity and photo sensors, PLCs, VFDs
  • Knowledge of Human Machine Interfaces (TCP), Allen Bradley Panel View Plus, Allen Bradley PLC 5, SLC 500 is preferred
  • Basic math, reading, and computer skills
  • Ladder logic knowledge and basic programming skills
  • Good communication and organizational skills
