Our Seacoast client is seeking an Engineering Manager! This versatile role offers the opportunity to wear many hats as you plan, direct, and coordinate activities for the company’s Engineering, R&D, and Technical Service departments. If you have mechanical design experience for industrial equipment and machinery, then don’t miss this direct hire position in a small, fast-paced environment!
Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager, Automation
- Design projects, support staff design efforts, and pull design aspects together to meet customer requirements
- Coordinate project schedules with operations and program/project managers
- Assist operations with technical resources for support of purchasing and assembly tasks
- Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures
- Recommend and implement policies, standards, and procedures to improve product delivery capabilities for engineering and technical work
- Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates
Qualifications of the Engineering Manager, Automation
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8-10 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery required
- In-depth technical experience in Mechanical (SolidWorks required) or Controls field (PLC, SCADA, Robotics experience)
- Technical aptitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Adept in problem solving and analytical reasoning
