Estimator

A global provider is seeking a self-starter with at least 3 years of experience for their Estimator role. You’ll join the growing team at their Nashua, NH facility, generating estimates for components and equipment for their technically advanced, high-temperature vacuum and controlled atmospheric furnaces. This is a great first shift, direct hire opportunity in a stable industry!

Responsibilities of the Estimator

• Generate timely estimates for the aftermarket and equipment sales departments
• Utilize past order costs and performance notes to produce accurate estimates
• Analyze and provide reports on inconsistency in actual cost vs. estimate
• Develop and update database files of standard costs for furnaces, major components, and commonly used subassemblies

Qualifications of the Estimator

• Must have 3-5 years’ experience as an estimator
• Previous experience purchasing fabricated parts
• Technical estimating experience for capital equipment preferred
• Ability to manage workflow productivity efficiently while dealing with multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to review detail and assembly drawings, understand the reasoning and importance of tolerances stated on drawings, and suggest value engineering ideas when/where appropriate

Salary for this Estimator position depends on experience, from $70,000-$75,000/year. We look forward to hearing from you!
