Our well-respected client in the Bellows Falls area is looking for an Extrusion Machine Operator to join their team. This position is full time, temp-to-hire position working Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm . This position will offer $15.00/hour.  Once hired on by the company, you will be eligible for their benefits package including medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, and paid time off.

Your Duties/Responsibilities for the Extrusion Machine Operator position include, but are not limited to:

  • Machine operation, set up, start up and process manufacturing machines
  • Select dies, read blueprints/drawings, determine proper positioning/adjustment
  • Inspect product
  • Troubleshoot machines and take corrective actions, identify mechanical problems and operator errors
  • Ensure proper set up and operation of equipment
  • Communicate with team and other departments regarding repairs/malfunctions
  • Determine root cause of machine alarms and make adjustments or repair recommendations
  • Ensure production output is met
  • Complete all necessary documentation for set up and adjustments of tooling, machinery, and auxiliary equipment as well as changes to cycles and job log, counts, and inventory
  • Compliance with manufacturing processes/procedures
  • Maintain safe working environment and good housekeeping practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Skills/Qualifications for the Extrusion Machine Operator position:

  • High School diploma
  • Advanced technical degree preferred or combination of training, experience and education
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good mechanical skills, experience with hand tools
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of GMPs and ISO requirements
  • Excellent visual acuity
  • Working knowledge of all equipment, tools, and measuring instruments used in the manufacturing cycle
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Effective communication skills to resolve production issues
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
