Extrusion Setup Operator

Put your experience to work at a stable employer with this Extrusion Setup Operator role! You’ll join the growing team on second shift at a plastic extrusion company’s Plaistow, NH facility. Previous extrusion experience is highly preferred for this full-time opportunity, but other machine setup experience will be considered, so don’t hesitate to apply!

Responsibilities of the Extrusion Setup Operator

• Select tooling and dies
• Set up, start, and shut down extrusion line
• Operate extrusion machinery
• Inspect and monitor work for quality
• Perform basic process troubleshooting
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Lead and instruct Packers and Operators
• Work with Engineering and Quality on new product development, CIPs, and day-to-day activities as required
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment
• Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications of the Extrusion Setup Operator

• Extrusion experience highly preferred; other machine setup experience will be considered
• Must have basic mechanical skills
• Must have basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and use of a calculator
• Able to read and interpret drawings and written work instructions
• Must be able to use basic measurement tools (e.g., rulers, calipers, and comparators)
• Good computer skills
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally, and stand throughout shift

Hours for this second shift Extrusion Setup Operator role are Monday through Friday, from 4:00pm-12:00am. Pay depends on experience, from $20+/hour.
