Field Service Technician

If you are very technically inclined and love tinkering with electronic and mechanical items – preferably heat based – then don’t miss this Field Service Technician role! You’ll oversee testing and installation of this global provider’s high-temperature vacuum and controlled atmospheric furnaces, as well as resolve customers’ technical problems. This is a great full-time, direct-hire opportunity in a stable industry!

Responsibilities of the Field Service Technician

• Plan and coordinate activities for testing and installation of vacuum furnaces
• Investigate and resolve customer technical problems with equipment and train customers as needed to help eliminate operational service difficulties
• Provide exceptional customer service onsite and over the phone
• Manage in-house testing of furnaces prior to shipment
• Maintain test data sheets, service records, and performance reports
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 70% of the time

Qualifications of the Field Service Technician

• 3-5 years field technician or manufacturing experience, preferably in vacuum furnace or related industry, is required
• 2-year technical degree is preferred
• Strong technical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
• Experience working with PLC and HMI software plus solid working knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Professional phone demeanor
