First Shift Production Supervisor

You’ll be responsible for day-to-day operations at this global manufacturer, ensuring everything runs according to production specifications and schedules. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity!

Responsibilities of the First Shift Production Supervisor

• Motivate, train, develop, and provide performance feedback to employees
• Manage shop floor personnel to meet scheduling expectations and ensure on-time delivery of products and cost control
• Communicate expectations for quality, safety, and proper utilization of machines and equipment
• Provide feedback and solutions to engineering and other departments to reduce scrap, rework, and outside processing
• Identify potential issues and develop a plan of action to mitigate
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist in implementation of manufacturing technology improvements and new capital equipment procurement and installation
• Create, manage, and update all new and existing BOMs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications of the First Shift Production Supervisor

• BA/BS Management/Engineering, or high school diploma and 6 years progressive experience in the production environment
• Technical aptitude
• Professional demeanor with the ability to excel in a team environment
• Knowledge of design for manufacturability and experience with continuous improvement techniques; world class manufacturing training a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP
• ISO experience
• Must have strong interpersonal, customer service, and verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 20 lbs. frequently
