Furnace Operator/General Labor

An established company is looking for a tinkerer who isn’t afraid to get dirty for their Furnace Operator/General Labor role! This position offers clear upward mobility and the chance to join a growing, well-rounded team at this Goffstown, NH facility.

Responsibilities of the Furnace Operator/General Labor

• Set up and prepare machines according to daily production schedules
• Prepare equipment and ensure furnace settings are accurate
• Monitor shift operation of machinery, adjusting settings as necessary
• Load and unload setups, breakdowns, and operating equipment
• Operate related equipment, such as cranes, forklifts, and power tools when required
• Complete paperwork accurately
• Follow all safety and housekeeping standards
• Coordinate with outside machine shops on any necessary fixtures and special machining
• Collaborate with manufacturers, internal department, and support staff to accomplish goals
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications of the Furnace Operator/General Labor

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of work methods, practices, and procedures involved in furnace maintenance and repair
• Familiarity with operation of cranes, forklifts, and power tools a plus
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk throughout shift

This Furnace Operator/General Labor position works Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. The company would be open to accommodating a third shift schedule if that works better for you! Pay starts at $17/hour.
