Gift Planning Assistant
Our client is seeking a Gift Planning Assistant to join the team in Hanover, NH! You’ll stay busy with tasks like working with donors and volunteers, tracking and reporting data, and organizing activities to support national gift planning efforts for an academic institution. This full-time role would be perfect for a well-spoken, service-oriented professional who enjoys interacting with a variety of people and has high attention to detail.
Responsibilities of the Gift Planning Assistant

  • Answer phones and direct callers
  • Greet visitors
  • Manage department email
  • Provide information to donors
  • Organize meetings and special events
  • Assist with travel arrangements
  • Communicate with volunteers
  • Draft correspondence and prepare presentations
  • Manage gift tracking and supply data and reports as requested
  • Process and file reports, invoices, etc.
  • Manage internal and external gift paperwork, including trust agreements and tax documents
  • Help prepare budgets
  • Maintain office supplies
  • Perform additional support tasks and special projects as assigned

Qualifications of the Gift Planning Assistant

  • Associate degree plus 2-3 years of relevant experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Professional, thoughtful demeanor and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with high level of discretion
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks
  • Computer proficiency including MS Office
  • Ability to work well both collaboratively and independently and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness
