Grinding Associate (Manufacturing Production)

A growing global leader is now hiring for their Grinding Associate (Manufacturing Production) role in Portsmouth, NH. You’ll operate machinery to help produce microscope slides for the medical industry. No experience is necessary for this full time, second shift role, and you’ll have Fridays off!

Responsibilities of the Grinding Associate (Manufacturing Production)

• Use grinding machine to prepare rough microscope slides to customer dimensions
• Load a metal chuck with microscope slides
• Place the chuck onto grinding machine and grind corners of sides and then remove chuck from the machine
• Operate hand grinders and other grinding techniques to relieve edges
• Remove glass from chuck and place in plastic trays
• Use a crown lift for lifting metal chucks
• Meet daily production targets determined by supervisor
• Perform various related duties as assigned or required

Qualifications of the Grinding Associate (Manufacturing Production)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to follow blueprints and drawings
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Basic math and computer entry skills
• Vision correctable to 20/20
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs., stand throughout shift, bend, stoop, kneel, and carry

This second shift Grinding Associate (Manufacturing Production) position works Monday through Thursday, First Shift 5:30am – 4pm and Second Shift 4:30pm-3:00am. First Shift pays $20 and Second Shift pays $22.
