Health & Safety Specialist

A Concord, NH organization is looking for a knowledgeable Health & Safety Specialist to help maintain and improve their occupational health and safety programs! This is a full-time, direct hire position for someone with health and safety experience from either manufacturing or mining who doesn’t mind traveling within the New England area.

Responsibilities of the Health & Safety Specialist

• Assist in developing health and safety policies and programs
• Oversee implementation of safety measures
• Measure results of programs and work on continuous improvement
• Inspect workplaces on a regular basis and ensure health and safety programs are in place and adhered to
• Perform training
• Other related tasks and projects

Qualifications of the Health & Safety Specialist

• Bachelor’s degree and/or at least three years of related experience
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Strong follow-through and time management
• Ability to travel locally
• Highly skilled in communication
• Good interpersonal skills
