Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

A granite company is now hiring a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician in Concord, NH. In this role, you will perform maintenance duties in a manufacturing plant and deep hole quarry environment. Responsibilities of the Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

  • Repair and perform preventative maintenance on all mobile equipment (heavy equipment, wire saws, splitters, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems with the assistance of a digital multimeter
  • Disassemble motor and components and clean parts
  • Maintain and repair quarry water supply lines and hoses
  • Perform routine safety inspections of shop and equipment
  • Clean tools and working area
  • Perform all tasks in a timely fashion
  • Know and comply with pertinent MSHA and DOT regulations
  • Maintain inventory of parts, lubricants, tires, used parts from old equipment, and petroleum products, as well as other necessary supplies
  • Prepare and analyze cost from outside vendors
  • Locate supplies and parts and perform analysis on new versus used
  • Provide cost control/reduction through a preventative maintenance program, component replacement versus repair, and recycling used parts from old equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications of the Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

  • Mechanical skills with some electrical experience, or electrician skills with some mechanical experience
  • Some experience maintaining equipment in the construction or mining industry is a plus
  • Basic computer skills are required
  • Willingness to learn
  • Good work ethic with the ability to do more than is asked
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician works Monday through Friday, 6:00am-3:30pm and must be available for overtime after shifts and/or during weekends. Pay depends on experience, starting at $22/hour. All salary ranges are encouraged to apply!
