From 2006 – 2016 she was the Branch Manager for Staff Hunters of Portsmouth. Prior to moving to the east coast, Amber worked for two large, national, staffing firms. Her 20 years of industry experience includes roles as Recruiter, Sr. Staffing Manager, Branch Manager, and now, Regional Director.

Join our people-focused client in Hampton, NH as a Human Resources Manager! This opportunity within the hospitality industry is responsible for overseeing and assisting in all aspects of HR, including recruiting, training, benefits, and more. Our client is seeking someone with at least five years of recent HR experience and a bachelor’s degree to lead their HR team in this capacity. Candidates with PHR/SPHR certification and hospitality industry experience are highly preferred.

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager

  • Manage all aspects of the human resources department
  • Ensure department and employee records are accurate and current
  • Perform full-cycle recruiting, from working with hiring managers on identifying needs to providing offer letters to potential employees
  • Oversee annual review process
  • Keep up to date with and ensure all aspects of human resources are in compliance with rules and regulations
  • Perform other related tasks and duties, as required

Qualifications of the Human Resources Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of HR experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially in Excel and Word
  • Highly organized and able to multitask
  • PHR/SPHR certification and hospitality industry experience highly preferred
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel on occasion
