A service-oriented, growing financial services organization is looking to add an Internal Auditor, Banking to its team! This direct hire  position in Portsmouth, NH is responsible for conducting internal audits within the firm and overseeing an auditing support staff. At least three years of auditing experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related major are necessary!

Responsibilities of the Internal Auditor

  • Work with internal management teams to gather information for audits
  • Analyze information to see if internal and external standards are being met
  • Identify any inconsistencies or non-compliance and address findings
  • Report on audit findings and identify possible solutions/remedies
  • Remain up to date in internal and external policies and procedures in order to ensure compliance
  • Oversee auditing staff to ensure they are in compliance
  • Other projects and tasks, as required

Qualifications of the Internal Auditor

  • Bachelor’s in accounting or related discipline
  • 3-5 years of prior experience in auditing, preferably in financial services
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present findings to a group
  • Solid problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel and other analysis software
