Machine Operator (Extrusion)

A leading wire and cable manufacturer is now hiring Machine Operators to operate extrusion machines. Previous related experience is helpful but not required for this great full-time opportunity with competitive pay. All shifts are available!

Responsibilities of the Machine Operator (Extrusion)

• Set up and operate wire/cable extrusion machine to manufacturer insulated cable products
• Observe all safety procedures and use equipment and materials properly
• Meet production standards by performing quality checks, in accordance with ISO procedures and following process and manufacturing specification sheets
• Troubleshoot manufacturing process, meeting production schedules and customer deadlines
• Complete production paperwork
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to produce quality products
• Maintain a constant focus on safety, quality, and accuracy
• Perform related duties as assigned or required

Qualifications of the Machine Operator (Extrusion)

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Good communication, math, and basic computer/data entry skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• High attention to detail is required
• Ability to read, follow, and understand written and verbal manufacturing specifications, instructions, and procedures in English required
• Flexible, dependable, and able to work overtime as needed
• Wire and cable extrusion experience and/or familiarity with handling a wide variety of plastics compounds and materials highly desirable
• Hands-on experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time

Choose the shift that best fits your schedule for this Machine Operator (Extrusion) position!

• 1st shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm for $21.59/hour
• 2nd shift: Monday through Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm for $22.09/hour
• 3rd shift: Monday through Friday, 11:00pm-7:00am, for $22.34/hour
