A rapidly expanding global company is now hiring for their Maintenance Mechanic role. You’ll provide critical support to facilities and equipment to ensure this company can continue to deliver their innovative medical diagnostic products. Previous experience with industrial maintenance is required for this direct-hire opportunity!
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic
- Execute facilities startup routines
- Monitor status readouts of primary systems, including water PH adjustment systems, filter press cleaning, amperage draw of motors, and ovens, and correct as needed
- Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems like AC/DC motors and drives, sensors, valves, hoists, PLCs, and general industrial equipment used in a manufacturing environment
- Perform general facilities maintenance tasks (plumbing, welding, lighting, painting, light carpentry, etc.)
- Complete special projects like new equipment installation and facilities/equipment improvements
- Document work and order parts in system
- Execute scheduled maintenance and unscheduled maintenance
- Support plant initiatives conducive to a safe, secure, and clean workplace
Qualifications of the Maintenance Mechanic
- High school diploma/GED/technical school and equivalent work experience required; Associate’s degree or trade license preferred
- 3-5 years of experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic (or equivalent) in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret meters, schematic diagrams, blueprints, rules, and other measuring instruments
- Knowledge and experience with tools and machine shop practice
- Self-motivated team player that can work well with minimal supervision
- General CMMS experience
- PLC troubleshooting knowledge is preferred
Available shifts are first shift Monday through Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm, second shift Monday through Thursday, 4:30pm-3:00am, and weekend shift Friday through Sunday, 6:00am-6:00pm. Pay depends on experience, ranging from $25-$26/hour. Apply today for this Maintenance Mechanic opportunity!
