The world’s leading manufacturer of motion and control technologies is looking for a Machine Technician/Electrician in Kittery, ME! In this role you’ll schedule and perform a wide variety of complex maintenance duties to ensure the efficient and continuous operation of machinery and equipment throughout the facility. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician/Electrician

  • Respond to equipment failures and production problems during or after normal working hours
  • Make repairs and adjustments to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
  • Troubleshoot problems and disassemble, repair, and reassemble machines, including complex electrical and electronic controls and equipment
  • Fabricate or purchase replacement parts
  • Design, build, modify, maintain, and repair assembly and machining workstations, including controls, guards, fixtures on presses, and test equipment
  • Perform maintenance repair duties of plant machinery and equipment, involving electrical, electronic, mechanical, welding, painting, plumbing, carpentry, and related trades activities
  • Install new equipment and relocate existing equipment; supply and connect electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and level and test machine to ensure proper operation
  • Ensure work is done in compliance with code and OSHA regulations
  • Ensure compliance with preventative maintenance program
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports as required
  • Maintain established quality standards
  • Ensure work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition and that prescribed safety measures and procedures are followed
  • Assist and support other Maintenance personnel with troubleshooting and knowledge sharing on machine and equipment problems
  • Participate in high performance teams as assigned
  • Perform other duties as requested or required

Qualifications of the Maintenance Technician/Electrician

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of CNC equipment and PLC
  • 5+ years’ experience working as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to design and fabricate fixturing and guarding from a variety of materials
  • Must be or become skilled in safe use of band, chop, and table saws, drill presses, MIG & TIG welder, grind & buffing wheels, and plasma cutter
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electricity and administrative knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly disciplined, problem-solving, logical-thinking, troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic
