A successful global company is now hiring for their Manufacturing Process Engineer role in Laconia, NH. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated multitasker who can develop new products and fixtures as well as improve process yield and consistency of this company’s innovative thermal systems. This is a direct-hire role in a low-key environment.
Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Process Engineer
- Design and conduct experiments to determine the process parameters that impact finished product; implement controls on key parameters
- Write work instructions to drive consistent results
- Design/validate fixtures and tooling to support specified processes
- Qualify new equipment as needed with SPC analysis
- Conduct process failure analyses to determine root cause and corrective/preventive actions
- Maintain pFMEAs for each process based on the types of failures, frequency of occurrence, and ease of detection
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to improve product and process quality, cycle time, productivity, and equipment downtime
- Apply lean principles to improve factory operations; manage multiple continuous improvement projects to completion
- Manage capacity to meet flexible customer delivery expectations in support of on-time delivery and cycle time metrics
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications of the Manufacturing Process Engineer
- BS in technical area with 5-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Background in machining and work holding
- Experience in piece part design, tolerancing, and GD&T
- Knowledge of SolidWorks, MS Office Suite, ERP systems, statistical analysis tools
- Excellent time management, project management, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
- General knowledge of ISO9000 or AS9100 standard, AIAG PPAP methodology
- Able to apply advanced mathematical concepts to complex problems
- Team player with a professional demeanor
