Materials & Purchasing Associate

An established manufacturer is seeking a skilled Materials & Purchasing Associate to join the team! In this role, you’ll work hands-on to plan, procure, store, control, and distribute materials throughout their Contoocook, NH facility. This is an excellent direct-hire opportunity!

Responsibilities of the Materials & Purchasing Associate

• Direct and coordinate distribution of materials
• Keep abreast of material pricing and availability
• Manage production scheduling, materials planning, and material control
• Monitor material inventories
• Manage order acknowledgements and address shipping delays
• Work closely with production and shipping/receiving
• Work with engineering for BOM structure
• Perform a variety of activities to support purchasing, stockroom, and production needs in order to expedite flow of materials
• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications of the Materials & Purchasing Associate

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience in a procurement-related role is required
• Familiar with general purchasing terminology, purchasing plans, and negotiating strategies
• Must have excellent electronic and verbal communication skills, extreme attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and sound judgment
• Knowledge of M2M Software a plus, but not required
• Proficient in basic business math concepts and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated, well-organized, responsible, and dedicated
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally

Hours for this Materials & Purchasing Associate are Monday through Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm. Apply today!
