Mechanical Engineering Intern

Add some valuable experience to your resume as a Mechanical Engineering Intern! This paid internship in southern Maine is a hands-on role, putting you directly on the manufacturing floor while helping to design the manufacturing process. Knowledge of SolidWorks is a plus, as well as the ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineering Intern

  • Observe and document manufacturing processes
  • Work with internal teams from operators to engineers and managers to learn how their product is made and to streamline the complex manufacturing process
  • Wear many hats while taking direction from engineers and managers

Qualifications of the Mechanical Engineering Intern

  • Current student working toward BS in Engineering or recent graduate
  • Open minded and interested in learning about manufacturing
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Prior internship a plus
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks a plus
  • Willing to wear many hats and shift direction quickly

While this Mechanical Engineering Intern position is expected to last six months, it gives you the opportunity to show a company what you’ve got in the event they have a full-time position at the end.
