A medical device manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Inspector on first shift at their Seabrook, NH facility. If you’re a team player with at least 5 years of inspection-related experience, then don’t miss this great direct hire role!

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Inspector

  • Perform mechanical inspections (first article, in-process, and final) of machined parts, standards, and hardware
  • Use surface plates, manual and automated CMM, calipers, bore gages, micrometers, height gages, optical comparators, and other precision measuring devices, instruments, and equipment
  • Verify all raw materials and outside services for testing documentation
  • Review all completed work orders, product documentations, and test and inspection data to ensure entries are complete, accurate, and legible
  • Ensure that material traceability, processing certification, assembly and testing of customer furnished, vendor-supplied products or services, or work in-process meet internal and customer requirements
  • Interpret engineering drawings, process specifications, diagrams, blueprints, test procedures, and customer specifications to verify compliance with technical specifications and customer requirements
  • Utilize online data systems and electronic media to verify customer data and specifications
  • Support and ensure compliance to ISO13485/ISO9000 Quality Management System
  • Contribute to a positive work environment
  • Perform related duties as assigned or required

Qualifications of the Mechanical Inspector

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years inspection related experience
  • Proficient with surface plate inspection methodologies, shop math, and mechanical inspection instruments
  • Proficient with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T and QMS
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to express concepts effectively
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Visual acuity of 20/30 or better (natural or corrected)
  • CMM experience is a plus
