Office Manager

A successful property management company is seeking a talented, energetic Office Manager to join their team! The right candidate will enjoy multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, and will relish having the opportunity to build rapport with and deliver excellent customer service to the residents of this locally owned and operated business.

Responsibilities of the Office Manager

  • Interact effectively with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy at the properties
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries same-day
  • Follow-up with applicants and prospects with phone calls and emails
  • Process tenant applications and answer questions about the properties
  • Manage leasing workflow
  • Maintain existing filing systems
  • Process mail
  • Input and maintain tenant and applicant profiles in property management software
  • Accompany prospective tenants to walk through available apartments
  • Collect and deposit rental payments and fees
  • Process payables for bookkeeper
  • Input and manage data entry for energy reports
  • Audit regional rental rates and supply report to owners
  • Perform related duties as assigned or required

Qualifications of the Office Manager

  • Four-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient with all aspects of Office 365 (OneDrive, Excel, Word) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with Appfolio Property Management Software preferred, or willingness to complete relevant training courses
  • Able to type fluently, 50 words per minute
  • Positive, professional demeanor
  • Experience that demonstrates a high degree of interpersonal skills working with staff, housing residents, and the public
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently on assignments is necessary
