Part Time Engineering Tech

Responsibilities of the Part Time Engineering Tech

• Process customer and vendor returns (typically no more than three orders per month)
• Manage non-conforming process
• Manage annual calibration and maintain calibrated devices
• Prepare for and attend monthly quality meetings
• Inspect parts from outside processing
• Complete and maintain FAIRs, PPAP, PFEMA, and other quality paperwork
• Participate in timely completion of CARs
• Perform internal audits
• Train new employees in quality aspects such as measuring, auditing, and related processes

Qualifications of the Part Time Engineering Tech

• Minimum of two years in a manufacturing setting
• Associate’s degree in related field is preferred but not required
• Previous experience with quality inspections and audits
• Proven track record of reliability, dependability, maturity, attention to detail, and ability to learn
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with every level of the organization
• Familiarity with blue prints a plus
• Basic math skills, including decimals, ability to convert between inches and metric measurements, and geometry
• Ability to use measuring equipment (micrometers, dial or digital calipers, optical comparator)
