Payroll Specialist
If you have payroll and HR experience, then consider this interim Payroll Specialist opportunity in a friendly, team-oriented work culture! Our growing, fast-paced Portsmouth, NH manufacturing client needs a detail-oriented professional to manage payroll and support their HR department, while delivering excellent customer service to employees.
Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist

  • Process payroll
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Prepare payroll reports and tax filings
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and new hire paperwork
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including managing calendars and scheduling meetings
  • Assist employees with payroll and HR inquiries
  • Maintain accurate files
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Perform additional tasks and projects as required

Qualifications of the Payroll Specialist

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required
  • 2 years of payroll processing experience
  • Prior experience with HR generalist duties
  • Team player with professional communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to organize information, commit to deadlines, and adapt and multitask with ease
  • Computer proficiency with working knowledge of GoogleSuite and payroll software
  • Knowledge of Paylocity and/or NetSuite a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
