Powder-Paint Associate

A global leader of motion and control technologies is looking for a Powder-Paint Associate to join their team in Kittery, ME. This is a short-term role expected to last approximately 3 months. You’ll gain valuable experience at a company that provides a supportive environment for career growth!

Responsibilities of the Powder-Paint Associate

  • Review work orders and setup procedures to prepare products for powder coating
  • Load and set up racking for orders to run
  • Verify all work orders to ensure proper color and quantity, and verify operations for powder
  • Mask and inspect product properly by following the setup charts and quality standards
  • Remove completed items and inspect per specifications
  • Determine if any further application is needed and if so, send back on line for second coat
  • Perform minor repairs and move bad parts to proper location as necessary
  • Maintain exact counts and properly complete all documentation
  • Pack parts to prevent damage
  • Move material to its proper destination, using material pull systems
  • Verify work orders and pull parts from powder stock location accurately to ensure proper inventory levels
  • Inform technician of problems requiring resolution
  • Request additional material and supplies from utility person and have finished product moved to proper destination
  • Work as a team in problem solving and process improvements
  • Work with team members on cross training and rotation
  • Ensure that prescribed safety measures and procedures are followed
  • Maintain 6S by keeping work area neat, clean, and organized, and support and participate in Lean activities
  • Perform other duties as requested or required

Qualifications of the Powder-Paint Associate

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum 1-3 years of experience in powder coating/education in a related field, or previous job-related experience
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Basic working knowledge of operating computers and machinery
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Must be able to work from specifications/blueprints
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible with changing roles/priorities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to interact with other team members in a professional manner
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm, plus 4 hours of overtime on Saturdays. Pay is $17.21/hour. Apply today for this short-term Powder-Paint Associate position!
