Press Brake Operator

A precision sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining company is hiring a second shift Press Brake Operator in Contoocook, NH! This family-owned company is very busy and operates at a fast pace. Responsibilities of the Press Brake Operator

  • Set up and operate power brake to bend, notch, punch, form, or straighten metal plates or sheet metal and structural shapes to blueprint or product specifications
  • Read and understand product documentation to ensure stock is formed per required product specifications
  • Select, position, and align dies, and secure dies to the appropriate thickness of the metal, positioning the part manually to align layout marks to dies
  • Verify dimensions using calibrated measuring equipment
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the machine and general work area
  • Perform routine maintenance of the machine, ensuring appropriate fluid levels, tooling is in good working order, and all safety features are working properly
  • Notify area Manager and/or Quality when corrective action is required
  • Must have the ability to receive and maintain operator self-inspection stamp to meet quality expectations of the customer
  • Verify that operation steps indicated on the job traveler have been signed off prior to beginning the job
  • Complete job travelers and ensure job paperwork follows parts through the manufacturing process
  • Enter labor into the manufacturing system via barcode prior to releasing product to the next operation
  • Ensure quality of your own work

Qualifications of the Press Brake Operator

  • 1 year of sheet metal fabrication experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to program, set up, and operate machines in a safe and responsible manner
  • Ability to maintain accurate and complete records
  • Must be able to stand for your shift
  • Ability to lift 15-20 lbs. repeatedly with maximum lifting of 50 lbs.
  • Must wear proper safety equipment

This second shift position works Monday through Friday, 3:30pm-12:00am. Apply today to be a Press Brake Operator!
