Quality Assurance Supervisor

A leader in injection molding and contract manufacturing is looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor at their South Royalton, VT facility. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to find root causes to operational issues. Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Supervisor

• Supervise manufacturing and quality assurance personnel
• Provide leadership by ensuring support to manufacturing through communication, teamwork, resolution of adjustment requests and product quality concerns, maintenance to minimize machine downtime, etc.
• Train team members and manage performance
• Ensure product conforms to established quality assurance requirements
• Perform visual inspections and 5S audits and complete necessary paperwork
• Support company safety and housekeeping procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications of the Quality Assurance Supervisor

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent in work experience
• Experience in manufacturing and/or quality control preferred
• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment desirable
• Demonstrated teaching skills, with a desire and the ability to train others to understand and follow quality systems and procedures
• Working knowledge of measuring equipment, basic math skills, and use of visual standards to make quality decisions
• Knowledge of data collection and some Statistical Quality/Process Control is preferred
• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as customer prints, safety rules, written instructions, and operating procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills
• Flexibility to work additional hours and weekends when necessary
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
