Quality Assurance Technician/Inspector

A precision sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining company is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician/Inspector in Hopkinton, NH. This is a great long-term opportunity that can lead to a direct hire for the right candidate!

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Technician/Inspector

  • Provide inspection services of parts and assemblies according to print, specifications, or other requirements set by the customer
  • Use micrometers, calipers, and other hand-held measuring tools for inspection
  • Generate NCRs, RCAs, and CAPAs and fulfill completion
  • Initiate RMAs and coordinate with customers
  • Maintain proper control, inventory, and performance of Quality Control equipment and instruments
  • Conduct in-process control inspections, and work closely with manufacturing personnel to achieve compliance
  • Perform final inspection on all projects and prepare all required Certificates of Conformance
  • Ensure that all inspected products are manufactured in accordance with customer requirements with data
  • Conduct incoming Quality inspection of purchased materials, and verify that they all meet specifications
  • Maintain proper documentation of Quality Control inspections
  • Work with others to help resolve problems with nonconforming parts
  • Perform inspections in a timely manner per Master Production Schedule
  • Conduct Preventive Maintenance and Calibration and/or maintain records of equipment and instruments along with associated documentation
  • Keep all Quality Assurance areas in an orderly fashion

Qualifications of the Quality Assurance Technician/Inspector

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Vocational school with related field of study a plus
  • CMM training and certification preferred, e.g., Zeiss, Mitutoyo, and Faro
  • Experience working in a GD&T environment and using hand-held inspection tools
  • Experience in working in a Quality Assurance/Control and Document Control capacity a plus
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards

  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

This Quality Assurance Technician/Inspector position works Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm. The company is open to accommodating a second shift as well if that works best for your schedule!
