Repair Technician

You’ll test and repair components of the company’s high-quality LED display modules. This role offers a great first shift schedule with Fridays off!

Responsibilities of the Repair Technician

  • Independently prioritize activities based on legacy and current product repaired inventory, internal and external customer needs, and queue of returned product pending processing
  • Perform diagnostic testing on mechanical and electronic equipment, including modules, controllers, frames, and auxiliary components
  • Repair, scrap, or accept as is product after diagnostic testing and root-cause analysis
  • Assist in corrective and preventive actions as needed
  • Research and obtain necessary equipment specifications, test procedures, and diagnostic information, as well as required documents and guides needed for processing
  • Perform equipment hardware and software configurations as needed/required
  • Catalog and inventory all product that is returned for repair while maintaining a clean, well-organized, and efficient work area
  • Maintain an inventory of standard replacement parts and submit purchase requisitions to ensure that minimum inventory levels are stocked
  • Lead standard and project-specific workgroups, as needed
  • Follow all safety and ESD procedures to ensure personal and product safety
  • Complete LEAN training and participate in continuous improvement projects when you see the potential to eliminate waste
  • Align performance to assigned KPI goals individually and for your team
  • Perform additional duties, as assigned

Qualifications of the Repair Technician

  • Strong organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and be comfortable working under pressure
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment to recommend and implement opportunities for increased IT and manufacturing efficiencies
  • Must have a broad mechanical understanding of repair or manufacturing assembly/disassembly functions
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Adept at problem-solving and troubleshooting computer hardware and or software-related issues
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school and/or Test Engineer Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • OEM-approved training for desktop, laptop, PCBAs, point of sale equipment, etc. is a plus
  • A+/ICET/Networking Certification is a plus
  • Computer proficiency with working knowledge of computer programs (ERP) for entering data and tracking is helpful
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

The Repair Technician works Monday through Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm. Pay depends on experience, ranging from $21-$23/hour. If you’re ready to join a company that believes that people come first, apply today!
