From 2006 – 2016 she was the Branch Manager for Staff Hunters of Portsmouth. Prior to moving to the east coast, Amber worked for two large, national, staffing firms. Her 20 years of industry experience includes roles as Recruiter, Sr. Staffing Manager, Branch Manager, and now, Regional Director.

Our client, a successful real estate business in Portsmouth, NH, is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist on a part-time basis! In this position, you will process all invoices in a timely and accurate manner within a 30-hour workweek. Prior accounting experience is required!

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist

  • Review invoices for accuracy
  • Pay invoices and record payments
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Perform check runs
  • Reconcile expenses
  • Respond to questions from vendors
  • Update vendor information in database
  • Assist with accounts receivable, when needed
  • Perform other related tasks and projects

Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Specialist

  • Prior accounting experience in an accounts payable role
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willing to cross-train
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
