A rapidly expanding global company is seeking an experienced individual for their Senior Industrial Controls & Maintenance Mechanic role. You’ll provide critical support to facilities and equipment to ensure this company can continue to deliver their innovative medical diagnostic products. This direct-hire opportunity includes a great first shift schedule and Fridays off!
Responsibilities of the Senior Industrial Controls & Maintenance Mechanic
- Execute facilities startup routines
- Monitor status readouts of primary systems, including water PH adjustment systems, filter press cleaning, amperage draw of motors, and ovens, and correct as needed
- Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems like AC/DC motors and drives, sensors, valves, hoists, PLCs, and general industrial equipment used in a manufacturing environment
- Perform general facilities maintenance (plumbing, welding, lighting, painting, light carpentry, etc.)
- Complete special projects like new equipment installation and facilities/equipment improvements by assigned dates and priorities
- Document work and order parts via CMMS system
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled maintenance in compliance with safety guidelines and procedures
- Support plant initiatives conducive to a safe, secure, and clean workplace
- Create and maintain PLC and electrical schematics/documentation for new or existing systems
- Interface as needed with IT to resolve problems and support projects and equipment
- Develop and train Maintenance Mechanics on PLC troubleshooting and basic programming
Qualifications of the Senior Industrial Controls & Maintenance Mechanic
- High school diploma/GED/Technical school and equivalent work experience required; Associate’s degree or trade license preferred
- 10-15 years’ experience as an industrial controls mechanic (or equivalent) in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in multiple PLC platforms and use of CMMS
- Proficient with tools and machine shop practice
- Ability to execute and document control system design, implementation, and validation per FDA guidelines
- Self-motivated team player that can train others and work well with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to accommodate shifting schedules and overtime as needed
Hours for this Senior Industrial Controls & Maintenance Mechanic position are Monday through Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm. Pay depends on experience, ranging from $30-$35/hour. Apply today!
