Senior Staff Accountant

This Billerica, MA manufacturer is looking for an experienced professional for a direct hire, full-time Senior Staff Accountant role! You’ll perform the day-to-day accounting functions in this role, as well as month-end closings, among other duties. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, three years of which (at a minimum) are within manufacturing.

Responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant

• Maintain the general ledger
• Assist in inventory counts
• Account for fixed assets
• Perform month-end journal entries and reconciliations
• Assist with annual audit
• Prepare data to assist in business planning
• Perform other related tasks and projects, as required

Qualifications of the Senior Staff Accountant

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, 3+ of which in manufacturing
• Strong customer service background
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Office, especially in Excel
• Good communication skills
• Team player
