From 2006 – 2016 she was the Branch Manager for Staff Hunters of Portsmouth. Prior to moving to the east coast, Amber worked for two large, national, staffing firms. Her 20 years of industry experience includes roles as Recruiter, Sr. Staffing Manager, Branch Manager, and now, Regional Director.

Senior Staff Accountant

We are working with our Portsmouth, NH client in filling a full-time, direct hire position as a Senior Staff Accountant! In this role in the financial services industry, you will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the accounting department. 5-10 years of prior accounting experience in financial services and a bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or business are required!

Responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant

  • Perform general ledger entries
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Perform month-end closings
  • Prepare financial statements on a regular basis
  • Review and analyze information and make recommendations for improvement
  • Other related accounting tasks

Qualifications of the Senior Staff Accountant

  • 5-10 years of prior related accounting experience
  • BS in accounting, finance, or business
  • Professionalism and tact
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and great organizational skills
