Sheet Metal Machine Operator

A large, well-known manufacturer is now hiring a Sheet Metal Machine Operator at their Bow, NH facility! You’ll operate punch, laser, and brake machines to help produce commercial equipment. Both first and second shift hours are available!

Responsibilities of the Sheet Metal Machine Operator

• Read and interpret blueprints
• Install punches and dies according to programming
• Change/monitor gas bottles on lasers
• Load sheet metal onto machines
• Cut and deburr sheet metal according to prints
• Count and verify part numbers and inspect products for quality
• Work independently on equipment as assigned, and cross train in other work areas
• Deliver completed products with work order to stock racks
• Access systems for programming, labor reporting, quality management, and resource planning as required
• Maintain clean and safe work area, including aisles, tooling, and machines
• Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications of the Sheet Metal Machine Operator

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, speak, and interpret instructions in English
• Basic math and computer skills
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
