A global leader in the life sciences sector is now hiring a Solid Materials Analytical Technician in Manchester, NH! You’ll join their dynamic team, working in the lab as you prepare inorganic material for analytical measurements. Responsibilities of the Solid Materials Analytical Technician

  • Work with Product Development Team and other lab staff on the analysis of metals, cements, and geologic materials with an emphasis on sample preparation for XRF, ICP, ICP-MS and other techniques
  • Work with manufacturing personnel to prepare powder products, pull test samples, and perform some packaging tasks
  • Perform day-to-day sample preparation and processing tasks for analytical measurements
  • Perform analyses by following SOPs and established test method documentation
  • Process and report instrument data under supervision
  • Record procedures and work with company ERP system and electronic lab notebook system
  • Assist in sending out samples for analysis to subcontractors as directed
  • Maintain analytical instrumentation and lab cleanliness
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications of the Solid Materials Analytical Technician

  • Bachelor’s degree in a physical science field, preferably geology, materials engineering, or chemistry is preferred, or Associate’s degree with relevant experience
  • Experience with some of the following: acid digestion, microwave digestion, borate fusion, mixing materials, analytical balances, pipetting
  • Ability to closely follow standard operating procedures
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of basic statistics
  • Familiarity of software suites, including MS office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Teams, etc.
  • Demonstration of hands-on aptitude for bench chemistry tasks, including both repetitive daily items and those that are non-routine
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills for electronic data storage
  • Ability to interpret technical information
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and stand for long periods of time

This Solid Materials Analytical Technician position works Monday through Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm. Pay is commensurate with experience, ranging from $50,000-$55,000/year. Apply today!
