If you’d like a new opportunity in a flexible, creative, fast-paced environment, then consider this direct-hire Sourcing Project Manager role! You’ll join the team at this global manufacturer’s Amesbury, MA facility. Previous supply chain sourcing/procurement experience is required.
Responsibilities of the Sourcing Project Manager
- Identify, research, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet the organization’s standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply
- Identify large sales order projects in the production pipeline, negotiate direct material costs with suppliers, and optimize the material margins
- Work closely with technical teams in new product development projects
- Coordinate supplier selections with category managers that will be best suited for long term strategy
- Identify alternate sources to meet immediate production needs as required
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders on testing requirements and approvals for alternate sources/materials for long-term success
- Work collaboratively with strategic operations and global sourcing to achieve goals
Qualifications of the Sourcing Project Manager
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain sourcing/procurement
- Highly experienced with MS Excel; Adobe Acrobat experience preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read engineering specifications and CAD drawings
- Self-starter with a strategic mindset
