Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

A medical device company in Laconia, NH is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer. You’ll work as part of the engineering team, directing and coordinating activities for cutting edge product lines. The ideal candidate is a positive team player with Lean experience. This is a direct-hire opportunity with great benefits in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

• Follow and develop quality and regulatory requirements
• Plan, develop, and execute process and test method validations (IQ, OQ, PQ, PPQ)
• Interact effectively with outside suppliers/partners and customers, and work collaboratively with fellow employees to accomplish shared purposes and goals
• Prepare and/or review documentation including specifications, manufacturing procedures, DCOs, and technical reports or analysis
• Apply and promote Lean manufacturing techniques to continuously improve cycle times and process flows, and reduce waste
• Plan, execute, and manage project activities with cross functional teams
• Demonstrate leadership through mentoring of junior staff, responsiveness to business needs, and motivation of diverse, cross functional teams
• Perform other related duties as necessary

Qualifications of the Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering/technical field plus a minimum of 5-7 years of experience (1+ years in medical device industry); post graduate studies will be taken into account
• Lean manufacturing and new product development/launch support experience is highly desirable
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills
• Excellent mechanical aptitude
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Excel, CAD (SolidWorks or similar); Minitab is a plus
