Staff Accountant

Our busy and growing Hampton, NH client is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant! There’s room to grow in this full-time, direct-hire role where you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, as well as preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and more. If you have two years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, consider this opportunity.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant

• Perform journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-, quarter-, and year-end closings
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Provide regular and ad hoc statements and reports
• Process expense reports and assist employees with related questions
• Perform other related tasks and projects, as required

Qualifications of the Staff Accountant

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Team player with a “can-do” attitude
