Join a premier employer as a Student Academic Success & Accessibility Specialist! You’ll be in charge of delivering timely, comprehensive support services to students in this full-time role.

Responsibilities of the Student Academic Success & Accessibility Specialist

  • Serve as initial point of contact for new academic inquiries as well as all accommodation and disability-related inquiries
  • Coordinate all tutoring programs, recruiting, onboarding, and managing tutor payments
  • Coordinate course review sessions and participate in student orientation events
  • Engage in an interactive process with students who request accommodations, as appropriate, shepherding process from initial request to documentation of final approval
  • Support students with medical board accommodation applications
  • Organize, conduct, and/or participate in workshops and development sessions
  • Conduct surveys, prepare reports, and maintain records
  • Collaborate with students, faculty, and staff
  • Assist with administrative support tasks as assigned or required

Qualifications of the Student Academic Success & Accessibility Specialist

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2-3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to exercise judgment and initiative and to interact with a diverse set of faculty and personnel in a professional manner
  • Flexibility and openness to change
  • Ability to plan work, set priorities, and respond to pressures, deadlines, and changes in schedules and priorities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain and foster confidentiality
  • Proficiency in database management, spreadsheets, and other computer software
  • Strong commitment to a diverse working environment and to serving the needs of a large and diverse community

Hours for this Student Academic Success & Accessibility Specialist position are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Pay depends on experience. This may lead to a permanent role for the right candidate, so don’t hesitate to apply!
