Tasks will include parts acquisition, prototype assembly, CAD design, and more! This internship is perfect for engineering or computer science students who are interested in working in a lab and/or office for the summer.
Responsibilities of the Summer Engineering Internship
- Undertake and successfully complete project development tasks
- Perform basic product design modifications
- Develop part and assembly drawings for products and equipment
- Complete engineering change processes as necessary to support existing products and/or release new products
- Generate three dimensional models from two dimensional drawings
- Perform mechanical design calculations
- Create test plans for prototypes and existing products and write reports to document the results
- Support manufacturing requests as part of a continuous improvement effort
- Communicate project needs with vendors and cross-functional team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications for the Summer Engineering Internship
- Currently enrolled in a mechanical engineering degree program, computer or software engineering degree program, or computer science degree program
- Willing to learn and flexible with work tasks
