Responsibilities of the Technical Customer Service Phone Support Specialist
- Provide over-the-phone technical and troubleshooting support to clients
- Lead customers through steps necessary to resolve operational issues
- Handle issues with a sense of urgency to ensure the customer’s equipment is running properly
- Learn and understand the operating theory of the system to resolve customer issues
- Review all installation photos to understand the unique install issues with each site
- Keep up with any design and/or parts changes
- Ensure that Salesforce CRM software is up-to-date with customer documentation, prices, notes, and contacts
- Follow up with customers that receive new parts to ensure that issues have been resolved
- Make proactive outgoing phone calls to customers who have not been contacted in a while, as well as to market consumables
Qualifications of the Technical Customer Service Phone Support Specialist
- Excellent phone presence and good conversationalist
- Working knowledge of pumps, filter presses, hydraulics, and plumbing
- The ability to ask the right questions to help resolve customer issues accurately and efficiently
- Pleasant demeanor and patience
Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with the expectation that you will stay until 5:30pm as needed for emergency situations with clients. Annual salary ranges from $40,000-$45,000 plus commission, and benefits include health insurance, paid vacation, and a company-matching Simple IRA plan.
