Leddy Group is seeking a Process Technician for a 2nd shift position in Londonderry, NH!

This is an exciting, long-term opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibility of the Process Technician:

  • Monitor function of equipment and recommend maintenance if required.
  • Some low-level maintenance or repair may be required of the Tech Level I based on skills/abilities
  • Assist with production layout in order to meet manufacturing goals and objectives.
  • Possess a good understanding of the plastic resins used as it relates to the molding process. Distinguish between different types of resins.
  •  Assist lower levels in the classification with difficult processes and relate corrective actions taken.
  • Develop a good understanding of tooling as it relates to the injection molding process. Including assisting in mold design reviews as necessary.
  • Adjust and oversee a process to ensure product quality.
  • Be able to troubleshoot processes while in a production mode.
  • Learn and demonstrate the ability to perform and conform to the following duties:
  • The Tech Level I will be required to successfully adjust for part/process problems and correct the condition.
  • As part of the passing criteria for practical testing, all adjustments for tooling and/or machine process must result in the product at a minimum of the current quality standards and an acceptable cycle time. Adjustments cannot result in damage to equipment or the mold or be attributed to long-term damage.
  • Each problem must stay corrected for 30 consecutive molding cycles after the final adjustment has been made and the process has stabilized.
  • Management reserves the right to set up specific problems for the sections of the test
  • There must be no safety concerns.
  • The Tech Level I must demonstrate the ability and correct for the following:
  • Warp
  • Bubbles
  • Dimensional control
  • Fish hooks
  • Gloss (shine)
  • Flow lines
  • Bonding of inserts
  • Internal voids
  • Optimize process for weight
  • Optimize process for mold clamp
  • Optimize process for cycle time
  • The Tech Level I is required to perform and abide by the responsibility guidelines and requirements for the Setup Mold Trainee and Mold/Setup Process Technician.

Evaluation Requirements for a Process Technician: 

  • The Tech Level I will be required to successfully adjust for the problems and correct the condition on the part.
  • As part of the passing criteria for practical testing, all adjustments for tooling and/or machine process must result in the product at a minimum of the current quality standards and an acceptable cycle time. Adjustments cannot result in damage to equipment, the mold, or other tooling.
  • Each problem must stay corrected for 30 consecutive molding cycles after the final adjustment has been made and the process has stabilized.
  • Management reserves the right to set up specific problems for sections of the test.
  • There must be no safety concerns.

  • Problem(s) corrected within 20 consecutive molding cycles
  • Problem(s) stayed corrected for 30 consecutive molding cycles after the process has stabilized
  • The Tech Level I is required to explain to the evaluator the steps he/she is using to complete tasks(s)
